Don't Buy This Book: Especially If You Can't Handle the Truth

In Don't Buy This Book, Dr. Stacy Raymond, a clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience, debunks the lies we live by.

Her writing is sharp, gutsy, and says what most people won't (or can't).

Dr. Stacy's book exposes the comfort-driven nonsense underneath what many call "progress". Supporting her points with sound research, Dr. Raymond challenges her readers to wake up and engage with reality. Readers are encouraged to challenge the status quo and question the answers.

Chapters will be germane to you personally, discuss those around you, and expand outward to cover global truths.

Topics covered include:

  • Personal Control,
  • Happiness
  • Mental Health Misdiagnosis
  • The Limits of Psychotherapy
  • The Mystery of Menopause
  • Societal Self-Deception
  • Tribalism, and others.

Dr. Raymond's style is biting, clear-eyed, and unapologetically anti-delusion.

READER REVIEW -

5.0 out of 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 You Should Buy This Book!
I’ll admit, the title hooked me right away. Don’t Buy This Book? Naturally, I had to see what the reverse psychology was all about and I’m so glad I did. Stacy Raymond has created something truly original here. It’s clever, honest, and straight to the point. Whether you’re into self-reflection, enjoy a witty twist on personal development, or just want a fresh perspective on life, this book delivers. The tone is conversational but impactful, and filled with insight. I found myself highlighting more passages than I expected. Don’t let the title fool you—this is exactly the kind of book that should be on your shelf. Highly recommend! ~Nicole
