Tracy Partridge-Johnson, Founder of Self-Published Author, Interviews Elisa Olivier-Nielsen

TPJ: Hi Elisa! Thank you for taking the time to share some of your indie author story with our readers. Let's start by talking about who you are and your background before publishing your books.

SECTION 1 — Author Information

TPJ: How would you describe yourself in a nutshell for readers who are just meeting you?

EON: I have worked in healthcare for over 25 years, during which time I had the privilege of positively impacting the lives of people from different walks of life.

I believe that you are what you eat and that true wealth is measured by health. My career path helped me recognize that pursuing wellness and physical health is incomplete if the intricate connection between physical, mental, and spiritual health is ignored.

Because of this realization, I now promote wellness and health with God at the center of this journey.

As a strategist, I share my passion through messages that address spirit, soul, and body to usher in divine health.

The vision of my ministry is to equip everyone to fulfill their God-given destiny to the fullest with healthy bodies, sharp minds, and healed souls.

I grew up in Brazil and now live with my family in Arizona.

SECTION 2 — Books & Writing Background

TPJ: Before you became an author, what was life like for you? Any experiences that shaped your storytelling?

EON: I have been a healthcare professional for over 25 years.

TPJ: What sparked the idea for your very first book?

EON: My passion for health, wellness and nutrition was the launch pad for this book.

Besides physical healing, I have come to understand the importance of caring and nurturing our souls in the pursuit of health and wellness.

As a result, this book focuses on the beautiful gift of joy and its impact on our overall physical, emotional and spiritual health.

TPJ: What genres feel like “home” for you—and why do they speak to you?

EON: This is an inspirational book as it is my passion to equip people to overcome obstacles in order to live a healthier and happier life.

TPJ: How many books have you written so far?

EON: Overflowing: a Transformative Journey to Cultivate and Harvest the Fruit of Joy is my first book.

TPJ: Before writing your first book, did you know anything about genres, tropes, or publishing?

EON: No, I was unaware of the process of writing and publishing a book.

I was mostly surprised by the cost associated with editing, marketing and advertising involved in the publishing world.

SECTION 3 — Writing Process & Experience

TPJ: Are you more of a planner or a “write as it comes” kind of author?

EON: I pray before I write each chapter, and sit in front of my computer, then begin to type.

TPJ: Do you have a favorite time of day to write—or any quirky rituals that help you get in the zone?

EON: Usually, mornings are best for me.

After I have breakfast, I sit at my desk with my water bottle and start to write my chapters.

TPJ: What’s been your biggest challenge as a writer, and how did you push through it?

EON: My biggest writing challenge was to figure out how to publish my book after it was written. I ended up self-publishing it and hired people to market my book.

TPJ: Why did you choose the self-publishing route? What does that freedom mean to you?

EON: Self-publishing was a more economical route for me at the time.

SECTION 4 — Themes, Characters & Readers

TPJ: Who do you imagine reading your books? Who are you writing for?

EON: My ideal reader would be women of all ages, races and backgrounds who want to tap into the gift of joy.

TPJ: What messages or themes do you hope readers take away from your stories?

EON: This is a faith-based book with the intent to unlock the potential of self-discovery, healing and growth in ones life.

TPJ: Do you have a character that feels especially close to your heart? Tell us why.

EON: My book is a 30-day devotional, so it does not feature characters.

TPJ: Can you share a favorite scene or line from your work that still makes you smile?

EON: My favorite chapter is Chapter 16: Chocolate-covered strawberries that emphasize that you are loved by God, who is love.

SECTION 5 — Life Beyond Writing

TPJ: When you’re not writing, what brings you joy? Any hobbies or creative outlets?

EON: I enjoy reading and traveling.

TPJ: Tell us about your family or pets—our readers love these personal touches!

EON: I am married with 7 adult children, 8 grandkids, and 2 adorable dogs.

TPJ: What’s one fun or surprising fact about you that readers might not expect?

EON: I was not partaking of the fruit of joy in my life, and this book was a gift to me from My Creator as an answer to my prayer to have more joy in my life.

SECTION 6 — Looking Ahead

TPJ: What’s next for you? Any exciting projects or books on the horizon?

EON: I have experienced serious health challenges in 2025, and I am contemplating writing my life lessons based on this phase in my life.

TPJ: Where do you see your author journey five years from now?

EON: I am envisioning having published 2 more books by then and being a public speaker using my books to enhance people's lives.

TPJ: Where’s the best place for readers to follow your work and join your community?

EON: They can email me at: elisa@eonconsultingrd.com
