ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Amanda Perko Balsavage is a music teacher and choir director with a Bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music, a Bachelor of Music Education from York College, and a Master of Music Education from Boston University.

Songs were previously her expressive outlet until becoming a mother to two spirited children, Christopher and Emmaline. Their love of adventure and reading reignited her passion for stories and the written word and inspired the characters in her first children's series, The Chicken and The Squirrel. Amanda hopes that the stories her children inspire will help inspire others to share the joy of reading, especially with their little ones.
